BMS Field of Greens is a community garden created by the 8th grade students at Bettendorf Middle School.
The 8th graders noticed a need for healthy foods and healthier lifestyles in our school and community.
Our goal is to provide a central location, with easy access, for the community to grow healthy, low-cost fruits and vegetables. BMS Field of Greens will also be a great educational asset for the schools and the community as well.
Our hope is to better connect with and engage the community in our activities here at school. We envision BMS Field of Greens lasting many years with future aspirations to expand and possibly incorporate a Farmer’s Market. We hope that many organizations, businesses and families will join us in taking part in this positive community movement.
